Total Fucking Bullshit (2004)

It looked like National Lampoon was going to put this record out in 2004. The writers dug Shmushkin. The higher ups not so much. Eventually the deal fell through over a disagreement about “Christmas Cunnilingus” (they found it “gross”) OR due to the antics of The Anti-Shmushkinites. It all depends who you ask.

Is the record funny? Yes. Is it dirty? No. Will you be offended? Maybe.

In the early 00’s I was living in a really nice Airstream trailer parked beside Andy Dick’s house in Hollywood near The Beverly Center. I sang/wrote for my suppper. Literally. My old friend Andy put me up and fed me and, in exchange, whenever he wanted to write or perform songs he’d haul me out of the trailer and there I’d be as his right hand band. I wrote a bunch of songs for/with Andy that would appear on his records “Darkest Day Of The Year” (2009) and “Do Your Shows Always Suck?” (2007).

When Andy would reject a song, as he did with several of the best ones on “Total Fucking Bullshit”,  I’d give them to Shmushkin.

Andy Dick hates Andy Shmushkin. I love ’em both and I know for a fact that Shmushkin loves you.
