I’m In Pain
On TV and in the movies, when the hero stands up to the bully he wins. Even if he loses, on some level he wins. In this case he doesn’t.
Sometimes you write a song that doesn’t really feel like a song. I wrote this one back in the late 1980’s and carried it around for a long time. When I told the band I wanted to put it on the record they thought I was crazy but I think it works.
Lyrics
I’m In Pain
Oh-oh
Oh-oh
Oh-oh I’m in pain
Oh-oh
Oh-oh
Oh-oh I’m in pain
And when you’re in pain
My heart is broken
and my nose is running
Oh-oh I’m in pain
Oh-oh
Oh-oh
Oh-oh I’m in pain
I’m in pain!!
I’m in pain!!
My heart is broken!!!
And my nose is running!!!!
Oh-oh I’m in pain!!!
Oh-oh
Oh-oh
Oh I’m in pain
Oh-oh
Oh-oh
Oh I’m in pain
