Hurri-Cane
In 1997 I was in the film “Hurricane Festival”.
I played the character NICK, a magician and a con man.
Johnny Nason and I wrote this song for the film but they chose not to use it.
Lyrics
HURRI-CANE
I’ve been on the grift
I work the late night shift
I’ve got money in my palm
and I like it that way
Well if you believe
that there ain’t nothing up my sleeve
then, honey, I did my job
Hurricane
If it weren’t for those eyes
and those pair of thighs to paralyze
I probably would have gotten away
And if weren’t for the lies
or the airtight alibis
I’d probably have nothing to say
Hurricanes have a way
of blowing through my day and
when I blow through town
Try and blow me down
Try and blow me over
When I blow through
I’ll have my eye on
I’ll have my eye on
I’ll have my eye
I’ll have my eye on you
Once I had magick in my palm
but now the magick is gone
and all I’m left with is this fumbled con
Hurricane
Hurricane
Hurricane
Hurricane
